Hi all
I am a postdoc in biology, currently in US, with a PhD from US, looking to apply for Skilled worker immigration, going through the regular application process.
I had a couple of questions that are bothering me or I am confused about.
Q1. Do i need to submit my FBI clearance, police clearance from India and Police clearance from Switzerland ( lived there for 1 year) at the time of application. I am confused because the website says you have to submit but then it says if the clearance in more than 6 months old they will ask for it again. SO if the consulate takes more than 6 months to look at the application then I will have to spend money and time to get these clearances again???
Q2. Do I need to take an IELTS exam before applying? Again the website says you have to submit the score but then the score is valid only for 1 year. what do i do in that case. Taking the exam is no problem but when is the best time to take it. I dont want to spend $300 twice ...
Q3 Is it required for my wife to take the IELTS exam too. Its not a problem for her. She can take it too but is it necessary?
Thank you for your help
