so I just read through the forums that when you validate the documents the bar code changes and the number at the bottom right of the documents changes.

I went through a hard copy I made of my application before I put it in the envelope and I found a problem.

the instruction says to put a copy of the validation bar code pages from forms IMM 1344 and IMM 0008 right after the document checklist.

it seems that the copy of the validation page from form IMM 1344 after the document checklist is different from the validation page at the end of form IMM 1344 itself.

now what should I do. do I send a letter to CPC Sydney explaining what happened or should I wait until they contact me?

Leave it. They will figure it out.

So I called the CIC today to ask about that (didn't give them the file number or anything just a general question) the guy told me not to send anything. when the get to my application they will decide either this is a big deal and they will return the whole package to me to fix it or they will just let it go.

this sounds ridiculous. would they really return a whole package and start all over for that?

There's no way to know what will happen unless someone made the same mistake before and can give their experience.

It's possible that the data you input into the forms is all hardcoded into these codebars so instead of manually entering the data, they use those to transfer all the data into a database. So it's entirely possible that not including them doesn't matter. Either they'll manually input the data, or they'll return it to you because they don't want to do a few minutes of data entry work. Or maybe they need the codebars for an entirely different reason. Hope you'll be okay and not too much time will be wasted!

So thankfully I received the AOR and I checked the application status and it says in process. Now I know there is no definitive answers here, but does AOR mean we opened the envelope and acknowledge your application will be processed, or does it mean we actually entered the data and it is accepted from a data entry point of view and now we will start the process of reviewing the specifics of your case?
