Hello,

I have a question regarding a document translation. The mother´s birth certificate (Guatemala) has been translated in another country (Honduras) and the translation has been approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Honduras.

At the back of the document the translator certifies the accuracy of her translation.

If the translation has been approved by the government office, does the document still need to be notarized?

Thank you.

For CEC they require a certified true translation along with a certified true copy.
So if you have a certified true copy of the original document and your certified translation,
you're all set.
