Document request from cic please help

Hi everyone need your help I received an email from my visa office asking for proof of my husbands studies such as transcripts and diplomas. My husband studied engineering and wants to finish his masters so he has his original bachelor and transcripts to take to canada now my question is do they need the originals or what? Has any of you been in a similar situation? Can we just photocopy and send them or do they only need the original? And if we do end up sending the originals would they send them back after our application is done? Im really surprised thy asked for them cuz we are close to finishing processing times.. Is it common for them to ask that?

You should be able to Photo Copy them unless they ask for Originals ..............

Ya they didn't say anywhere in the email they needed the originals but I just thought that any document they ask for must be original ?

They do mention ORIGINAL wen they need it. If they havent. Send a certified copies of them

They asked for the same from me. I sent copies of the diplomas but the Transcripts MUST be original.

A day after I posted this question they sent me an email requesting the passport so I'm not sure what happened there but we were sure we included a copy of his diploma with our application so maybe the found it after I'm not sure.. But we did send copies of them..
