Preface: I live in Canada and my spouse lives in Colombia
I have two questions regarding documents:
1) for the signature portion can I scan and email the pages my spouse needs to sign, have my spouse print the pages and sign where necessary and then scan the pages back to me to print and sign?
2) for certain documents (e.g. copy of birth certificate, escrituras de matrimonio) is my spouse able to make a certified copy with a notary in Colombia and then scan the notarized copy for me to print and use in the application? Or does the official copy that the notary makes have to be sent via post office? Wanting to avoid the $120+ in sending documents back and forth via mail, but not sure if the government of Canada will accept a scanned and printed version of a notarized document?
Feeling dumb as I navigate through the muddy waters that is Canadian immigration.
