Got accepted by SAIT winter intake , now I am not appointing any agent or consulate , rather I'll be applying on my own.
I would like to know what documents do I need especially the financial requirements . My college tuition is 26468 CAD for 2 year.
I've obtained an education loan from a local state bank of about 18 lac. Now , is it enough to obtain the visa??
Quick responses would be much appreciated.

Thanks mead , for your quick response and no I don't think so my college is under spp . Its SAIT polytechnic in Calgary , AB .
Yes the college tuition is expensive but its really reputed and worth getting educated from . I am from India , and my visa office would be new Delhi , also , I went through the CIC website already , and it says I need to show $10000 CAD and proof of tuition payment , now , assuming if I pay 1 year tuition which would be aprox. $14000 or 7.5 lac INR from my loan account , I'd still have another $16000 in my loan account , so is it enough or do I need to show ITR'S and stuff ?

if u have good ITRs/ur sponsor has good ITR it wont hurt adding them with if possible pay slips. since ur applying under general u should add as much supporting documents as possible.

What is GIC , how can I know more about it ?
Also my term start in Jan 2015 , will I be able to get a permit in time ?

@Mead , no , the program doesn't suit me , its computer science , Civil , mechanical or electrical will do for me .
I think that's what i am gonna state in my sop , also I read somewhere in this forum , that chances of acceptance under general are very slim as compared with spp ?? How true does this hold ?
I just don't seem to understand why the visa office require such things , I mean , its okay as far as financial part is concerned but sop and stuff , the college doesn't seem to have any problem nor the student what the hell do they care ?

if its ur first time applying u should always go for SPP
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/spp-ppe.aspx?lang=eng

CIC does not require SOP but SOP can be a tool to help VO understand ur case its a way for u to communicate with VO . SO if u dont want to attach SOP fine its up to u but why waste an opportunity. Every other document u attach like may ITR may not be required (i dont remember exactly if required or not) but attaching it will be a positive thing. Even if the documents r not required they help proving u r strong financially with a steady income and will not be a burden on canadian economy to pay for ur tuition etc. College doesnt care colleges r trying to make money they give admission to any tom dick and harry .....international students pay lot more fees than the canadian students so colleges give admission at any percentage and without looking if the student will be able to pay or not. CIC on the other hand is worried people with no money will come to canada and will then face problems and start working illegally and be a burden on canadian economy. this is a very crude explanation but i hope u get the point.

For university checklist as a financial proof
