Document checklist doesn't correspond with work history

Hi,

I received my ITA in October and answered all the questions CIC asked me. When I clicked on 'continue', there's a document checklist asking me for employment records. I received letters from all my former employers, but the document checklist doesn't correspond with my answers in the 'work history' section. For example: the document checklist asks me to add 10 times employment records for my previous jobs as an electrician. I have been an electrician, but not for 10 different companies. Also, other jobs I mentioned in my 'work history' section aren't listed in the document checklist.

I tried contacting CIC, but they don't want to answer Express Entry questions by phone and the email I received after waiting 2 weeks for an answer didn't give me any further information. They just wrote: "Once you are at Checklist of Required Documents stage of your application, the Supporting Documents section will indicate which documents are required. In order to comply, you must attach each document to your application."

Does anyone else have the same problem? I have all the documents to submit my application, but the document checklist is just not right...

Thanks!

Can you upload the same document for the same company in each slot?
Also, I would write a letter of explanation to explain the issue with the reference letters.

Yes, I will write a letter of explanation and attach the letters I can't add to the document checklist. However, I have been an electrician for 5 companies, so I'll add those letters to the checklist, but what about the other 5 'electrician documents' I'll have to upload? You suggest uploading the same 5 documents again and explain it in the letter?

The other 5 'electrician documents' are directly related to a company you worked for and listed on your EE application. As best you can, match those with the letters you have and explain it to CIC in a LOE.
You can also email a case specific question and upload a letter explain that there as well.

In your application in work history section if you mentioned N different jobs, system will ask you to upload N reference letters in N slots. even if for the same job (same company) if you have mentioned it in different lines (based on either location or designation etc) it will consider it as a new job. So my suggestion would be to create only X lines in work history if you have X nbr of reference letters.

i am sharing it based on my experience, i worked in same company for 5 years but the locations were different and I mentioned it in 3 lines so it asked me to upload 3 ref letters but i had only one letter for all 5 years together .... then i changed it and mentioned it in only one line and then system asked me to upload only one letter....

I tried that: yesterday I deleted my whole work history and started again, so the document checklist would match the letters I received, but the document checklist didn't change...

Well, I tried asking a case specific question, but the answer was "Once you are at Checklist of Required Documents stage of your application, the Supporting Documents section will indicate which documents are required. In order to comply, you must attach each document to your application." So that didn't really help (in my opinion). If I write another email, I'm afraid my ITA will expire before I receive an appropriate answer.

The document checklist is generated from your EE application. That was the basis on which an ITA was extended. They will not allow you to make the change after the fact to avoid people from cheating the system.
Your best bet is a LOE and all the work reference letters to support it.

All the best my friend. I hope it works out.

Strange though, because the checklist doesn't even match the EE application... Anyway, I'll try to follow Queries suggestion "delete temp files/cookies" and start over again...

Do you think I should decline my current invitation, change my EE profile and wait for the next draw??? I have 913 points, so I'm pretty sure I'll be invited in November then, right?

Nooooo. It would make more sense to let the time run out and try sort it out.

I am not sure when the 20th draw will come ....but for sure you will get invite with the score you have .... its bee 2-3 weeks since 19th draw was out so 20th may be round the corner ...You can try that too ....

But i am sure the way i told you did work for me ...so it must be something you are not doing correctly .....be calm and check each and every point once again or ask your friend/spouse to check the application once again may be they can find something incorrect .....
can you explain here how you have filled your work experience in application then i can see if there are any issues with that ...or if you want you can send me personal msg using this forum....may be i can see something and suggest you if anything needs to be corrected...
