One of my friend completed his MBBS on September 2007. Then he worked as an intern for one year until September 2008. Since then he has been working as a medical officer in a government hospital. Now my question is about the work experience. Is the internship counted as work experience? If so then he will have 3 years of work experience. Otherwise it will only be 2 year medical officer experience. So please suggest.

Most certainly the internship would not count as experience and so the overall experience would be 2 yrs

I heard that getting a canadian residency is very difficult especially for international medical graduates. I got my passport request today...so was wondering why I am not taking Canadian MLE rather than USMLE. Anyone can help?

i am also a doctor
i applied on June 2006 through Damascus office
file transferred to Warsaw office on April 2010
full documents sent wth updates on December 2010
according to wt i have read here & elsewhere i need at least 10 months on average to ask for my medicals (old system is very slow)
infact i have some of my doctors friends who went there before me & the feedback from them is very disappointing, they all said that it is almost impossible to join a residancy program there & the only hope is to finish MCCEE, MCCQE I&II to work as a GP is a remote area.
i am a medical specialist (Psychiatrist) & i don't know wt future hides for me in Canada, but i am a little bit pissimistic
does any medical specialist tried his luck there?
is there any alternative pathway to work in Canada as a specialist doctor?

I finished my medical study and my specialty in Europe ( Obs . Gyn ) . now since four month I have GMC British medical council ) As a doctor Immigrant do we need to do MCCEE in Canada in order to practice in Canada
I mean do they recognize British GMC ( British medical council ) or they not , and we should do the MCCEE in order to work as a physician in Canada
