Hi all!
I'm a US citizen, applied in February 2015 under common law sponsorship. I have SA and ECAS is at "application received."
Just got an email from CPC-Ottawa now, asking me to confirm my address, and then stating:
"Proof of Residence/Intent to Reside
We wish to ask you at this time to provide proof that your sponsor resides in Canada. This includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, banking history, employment letters, lease agreements, etc. Driver's licences, Property tax assessments, Social Insurance or Health Insurance cards are not sufficient."
We already submitted all of that with our application. Does this mean they don't believe us? We have never left Canada since we started dating, nor do we plan to, and I thought that was clear on our app, so I'm confused why this is what they want. I'll gladly send it all over again, but still... is this normal? Should I be worried?
They also asked me to pay the RPFR fee, which I already did. Does this mean things are coming to a close?!
Thanks for your help!! I am so excited to see that someone is at least *looking* at our app!
