Do you update entire package when it is returned to you for missing documents?

I received a returned package claiming missing documents: March 12 2015

My spouse forgot to sign a form and it was returned to me.
He has signed the document and I plan to return it tomorrow.

However...

I have recently left and returned to Canada (family member death), making my "most recent entry to Canada" a different date than the one I put on my Generic Application (FORM IM 0008) that I originally put.
I also have a new stamp now on my passport.

Do I need to edit these documents and update them when returning my package? On the date they were signed, they were true, but things have changed since I submitted my original application almost three months ago.

Help!

When i had a missing document i updated it fully again, signed the new date and made sure the form didn't not change from the time i sent the application till i received an email to summit missing form. They asked me to update a form from my husband and the missing form from my step son,so i would say definitely update fully.

Did they send you the whole package back without any special instructions for re-mailing? If so, then, yes, you'll be submitting a new application so it's best to update it to reflect your current situation.

Yes they sent back the entire application. They said please return the entire package with the missing form and all requested documents/information (with a copy of that letter) in order to be processed.

Would you update the form then with the new recent arrival date?

Yes. Think of it as a brand new application, unfortunately then.

If you'd rather not reprint and that's the only error, I'd cross it off, write in the new date and initial the change. Don't forget to keep a copy of the new version for your records!

Thankfully I saved all my completed forms on the computer so I just have to edit it and re-print.
It's just a bummer that two months have been wasted :(.

Yup :(

Maybe send in a copy of the rejection and hope they take a bit of pity...it can't hurt.

Yeah they ask you to submit a copy of the letter, so hopefully that might help a *bit*.

Thanks a bunch for your clear answer :).

You should also check the CIC website to see if any of the forms have been revised. If you find one (or more) that has been updated, you NEED to submit that/those form(s) instead, else your entire application could be returned again...but this time, because you submitted an outdated form.

Oh, what a vicious circle it is!

So my husbands OWP was retunred but I sent it to the correct office Mississauga, OWP was sent with spousal inland application same day Jan 10, 2015. He received a letter like this:

Please be advised that the only temporary resident application this office processes is the Application to change conditions or extend your stay in canada as a worker (IMM 5710), if submitted in conjunction with an application for PR made under the spouse or common Law partner in canada class. This letter came from Mississauga.

We were also waiting for his visitor visa to be extended (which was sent Nov 14/2015) to Vegreville. So when I sent the OWP i explained that we were waiting for the Visa extension (he did receive the visa extension yesterday as well and got an extension for 1 yr.

Does anyone now know where I should send the OWP now? will this set up back, will we have to wait longer now?
