do you need to provide police clearance when stayed for 5 months 21 days

please help me out cic is asking for a police certificate for a place that i stayed at for 5 months and 21days.

Usually you dont require,but if they are asking then submit it.They just want to be sure you not a criminal.

i sent an email to them saying they should recheck since my forms say i spent 5 months 21 days. No reply from them yet and i'm running out of my 60 day deadline. so i should just go ahead and do one ehh?

That's very close to 6 months. I would order it anyway. Some people have reported being asked for police clearance for areas they have lived for almost six months as well.

Try to include it with your application, but if it takes a long time, you can mail it later - just make sure to mark it well so they can match it to your application.

thanks, I sent an email asking them to double check since all my medicals are done and the status was updated on ecas. i was hoping for a decision by now only to hear that they want this police clearance for such a duration of stay ie: less than 6 months. but yeah i guess i will start to order one. the dilemma is that i do not live there anymore and it is an African country so yeah, stressfullllllllllll
