Do you have a valid job offer qtn in EE profile

Hi there.

I am really racking my brain about how to answer this question when creating my EE profile.

The question asks if I have a valid job offer.

First of all, I'll explain my situation. I'm on a PGWP and have been working for my employer for a year and it's almost unlikely that they would do an LMIA for me because they can easily find a Canadian to do my job.

Back to the question, when I read the description on what CIC means by that question. In the beginning I meet the requirements but CIC also states other requirements which I don't meet.

What I've highlighted Green, I meet the requirements and what I've highlighted Red, I don't meet the requirements.

Federal Skilled Workers and Canadian Experience Class
A valid job offer has to be:

• made by one employer
• continuous
• paid
• full-time (at least 30 hours a week)
• for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa
  • not seasonal
  • not on a contract basis
• in a job that is NOC:
  • Skill Type 0 or
  • Skill Levels A or B

It also must be made :

• by an employer with a new positive LMIA that approves the offer and names you and your position OR
• if you’re currently working in Canada in a NOC 0, A or B job on a work permit that was issued based on an LMIA, and:
  • you’re working for an employer listed on your work permit
  • you’re authorized to work in Canada on the day you apply for a permanent resident visa, and when the visa is issued
  • your current employer made you an offer to give you a full-time job for at least one year if you’re accepted as a permanent resident OR
• if you have a valid work permit for a NOC 0, A or B job that is exempt from needing an LMIA, and you:
  • are currently working for an employer specified on the work permit
  • have one year of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work) for that employer
  • have a valid job offer from that employer for at least one year after we issue your permanent resident visa

Anyways, so how do I answer this question?

No - you don't have a job offer. If you are on a PGWP, your employer would need to obtain an approved LMIA in order for you to qualify for job offer points.

To add to what scylla said, the reason this scenario does not apply to you is bolded above - some LMIA-exempt work permits are "closed," meaning they are for a specific employer (with the employer's name on the work permit). PGWPs and other open work permits do not meet this criterion because there is no employer named on the work permit.

hi... i think we're on a similar situation. I currently have OWP and working fulltime for a year now here in BC. As i create my EE profile I got stuck in "intended work in Canada" portion.

Since I am already working here in Canada, does the portion "Does XXXX have a job offer in Canada?" applicable to me? Is it a "NO" or "YES"?
If I choose "NO", there will be no more fields to fill in. However, If I choose "YES" other confusing fields will show up (since I have open work permit) like:

"Does XXXX have a valid work permit for the current job in Canada?"
"Is XXXX job offer from the employer named on the current work permit?"
"Has XXXX been working full-time for the employer on their current work permit for at least one year?" and
"Four digit NOC code of current work permit"

Hello, I have a similar situation. I am on a Work Permit and will be completing 1yr in few months (say Nov) so i can get the Job Offer letter from my employer and experience letter. But since i have visibility of my project only till end of this year i might go back to my home country. If i create EE profile with Canadian experience and Job Offer then leave Canada to my home country will the Job offer and experince still count in the EE? When i get ITA can i attach the Job letter that my employer has provided?
