Do we still mail documents?

Hi guys

I am really confusing myself. So I am preparing my documents, as I am expecting to receive ITA when I update my express entry profile. I just read http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-how.asp[/b]]http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-how.asp

Step 2 says:
Using your Document Checklist, get all the documents you need to include with your application.

You must be able to make electronic copies of your supporting documents using a scanner or camera.

Once you have your documents ready, upload them.

I am just wondering do we just upload the documents these days? I thought we mail the documents as Original Documents are required.

One of my employment reference letter is addressed to the Nominating Province for which I received Nomination.

Is it fine to upload it or need a fresh one addressed to CIC?

If it is a PNP, depending on the province, they might want you to send the documents by mail, example OINP. But now that you are preparing for ITA, you need to upload scanned copies of your documents only.

Notrazation of e-copies would not be an authentication so it would make no sense to upload these. Keep it simple.
