Do we need to cancel old application FIRST before re-applying, or can we keep it

Hi guys - my hubby and I are really interested in the Opportunities Ontario program - and upon researching, it is clear tht we need to submit another profile so that they can assess us as from June 1st (we have already had our entries in the pool since March).

My question is, do we need to completely cancel our old application first, or can we keep it up and then cancel it? At the moment, we are trying the latter - as it helps to have all the information at hand, but we are coming across technical difficulties every single time we try to progress with the application.

I wondered if it is because the system recognises there is already an application there, or could it genuinely something else?

Thank you all.

If you're keen on OOPNP, withdrawal and re-entry (from MyCIC and job bank) with the same profile details seems to be the way to go. Quite a few forum members have successfully done that and received a PT promptly after that.

Creating a duplicate profile is entirely possible, not aware of any rule which says that you can't do it. I'm guessing that you'll have to create a fresh MyCIC login and proceed from there. But that doesn't appear to confer any additional advantages over the other option anyways.

What sort of technical difficulties are you seeing while doing this? Are you using the same MyCIC login to create a duplicate profile? That seems like the wrong thing to do.

I am struggling to create new job bank profile. First issue is,after creating new profile,I didnt receive job seeker validation code in pdf file and it is blank.
Second issue is,when i try to register with job bank with new express entry profile and job seeker validation code(4 digits of passport),system throwing invalid express entry number/job seeker validation code.

I am not in pool any more and not sure how to fix this issue before next draw. :(
