Do we need police clearance for citizenship?

Just a quick one.... do we need police clearance (from all countries we lived in past 5 years) while applying for citizenship after PR? After how many years on PR we can apply for Canadian citizenship?

2. When you have accumulated 3 years physical residency in Canada in the 4 years immediately preceding the date your application.

1. the rule is 3/5. 3 yrs of physical stay within 5 yrs post landing.
2. while citizenship u don not need PCC. (I'm not fully sure though, some more advices would be needed here)
3. for jobs u don't need PCC, for sure.
