Do we need authorization letter ?

My mom wanna come for 6 months visit on regular visitor visa. Does she need any kind of authorization ? I am citizen here.

Someone told me authorization letter is must because of covid restriction.
Please confirm!!!
 
So parents only need 3 things :-
1 Return ticket ( proof of staying longer than 15 days)
2. My Canadian citizen proof
3. Relationship with me ( to prove immediate family member )

Valid visa and passport obviously

And NEGATIVE covid report

Am I missing something here ???
Please guide...
Parents has regular visitor visa and no super visa and I am citizen.

Book your parents 3 day mandatory hotel quarantine and 11 day quarantine plan.

I think you got everything. You have all the required documents.

Get your parents a quarantine plan as well.

3 days in hotel
And 11 days at my home ( room with separate washroom )


This is the plan.. does this needs to be in writing ??!

Yes, it should be in writing. Can’t board without negative Covid test & need to show 3 day booking.
 
If the remaining quarantine (after the hotel) is going to be in a 2-bedroom flat with two bathrooms (not a house, but condo) where the visitor will have her own bedroom and bathroom - can others (who didn't travel) living in the same flat avoid quarantine (they will have their own bedroom and their own separated from a visitor bathroom)?

No that isn’t suitable quarantine with the variants. That would be considered a small apartment which is on a list of places where you should not be quarantining with others. Unfortunately we have seen people get away with it and some have ended up with the whole family getting covid. Those families have to remain indoors for 14 days which would also essentially increase your quarantine.

Could you please give me a link where it is said officially?
I was trying to find it but couldn't.
I actually do not see the difference between quarantine in the flat and quarantine in the house if both options mean separate bathrooms and bedrooms
