Do we have to send Original Passport with forms???

Hi Every body,
I am applying to visit Canada. As I am not using any representative, so I am doing all things myself.
I have completed all the requirments and just confused in one thing.
Do I have to send my oringal passport as well in the envelop to Canadian embassy Islamabad or I have to send the photo copy of my passport and then wait for further instructions from embassy?
Can some one also please advice me that can I go for medical in advance or there will be no medical for me?

You have to submit the original of your passport and a photocopy showing the data page.
I doubt you would require a medical as that is only done for people spending more than a year however in the event of a medical being required, the embassy will give you specific instructions regarding where the medical should be done therefore you can't do the medical on your own without instructions from the embassy
