Hi team,

I have recently applied for my pr or under cec category (on dec 24 2016), and my application was not approved. The reason for rejection was, not including the reference letter (which indicates my job duties) for my foreign work experience, as it was the policy of my organisation that they wont provide such letters. Instead I was provided with the joining letter and relieving letter and also I included my last 3 pay slips of that particular job. Any how, as I was provided points in the express entry pool, for my foreign experience and I wasn't able to provide the letter, I was rejected.

I have now again created my EE profile without including the foreign experience in the questionnaire and the profile, and was awarded 465 overall points including only my Canadian education, Indian education and Canadian work experience and I am already into the EE pool.

My question is, is it mandatory for me to include this foreign work experience in my work experience in the work experience section and provide the reference letter at any cost, or it is ok to include this in my 10 years history and just provide what ever documents I have, as I am not claiming any points based on it??

Awaiting the valuable advise from members. I appreciate your time and effort being invested. Thank you.

No. But if you do include it, it is mandatory to either provide the letter or alternative proof, as well as an explanation (with proof) as to why you you cannot provide the required letter.

If it is not in your profile, you don't have to provide any documents. But you do have to list all work experience in your background history.

Thank you so much jes_ON for your valuable input. I have just one more question which i was thinking about lately. As I have previously showed my foreign work experience, are there any chances that, if I don't include it this time, they may classify the application under fraud? Just a very common doubt. I would, although show my work experience in the 10 year history.

Thank you again.

As long as you show everything in the background history document, there is no fraud.

Thank you Jes_ON :) . I just got my new passport with a new number as I have renewed it. Now if I change my passport number and details in my express entry profile, do I still have to submit all the scanned pages from my old passport which has the visas and stamps on them, when I send the application once I get my ITA? Or just scan the new passport's first and last pages and submit it. As I have submitted my old passport in all my previous applications, I have this doubt about what and how to do this. Please help. My address in the new passport is different than my old one and also the place of issue have changed. Thank you again.

Only the biographical page is required. And only your current passport.

LOL, isn't it quite enough to give IRCC what they ask for, without inventing new requirements? : )

Lol , it is definitely enough to provide them just what they ask for :) . I am just doing this by my self this time and I don't want to miss out any thing which could lead to the bad decision again. Hope you understand :)

Thank you for the reply. I am still waiting for the draw. its been a while now. Last one was on March 1st I guess.

Hi guys. I have got my ITA on March 24th and I was filling out forms. I have a question. All my police clearances and medicals were done with my primary identity being as my INDIAN passport. As my passport was expiring, I have renewed it recently. Now all my medicals and police clearance certificates have my old passport number in them and those certificates are valid till next months i.e.; April 23rd. Do I need to do all these processes by using my new passport number again? Or is it ok if I submit the same certificates? (NOTE: MY new passport has a line mentioning my old passport number in it last page). Please update. Thanks.

No worries, just submit a copy of your new passport. IRCC understands that passports expire and get renewed all the time. Besides, you have the old passport # in it; if you didn't, you could include a scan of the old passport along with the new just to be "safe," but you don't need that.

Hey Jes-ON. I have a question. My PR application was rejected twice now. Now when we fill the form, in the statutory questions section, when they ask if I have been refused a permanent residence visa before, and when they ask us to provide details about the refusal, do I have to include about both the refusal situations or just the recent one would be enough??

And also in the application details section it will ask "If I have applied for the permanent residence before?". We can provide the EE profile number there in the section below. Do we have to provide just one profile number (the recent one) or provide both profile numbers with a separation?

Waiting for the reply. Thanks.

Both, if they were indeed refusals. If they were rejected/returned for being incomplete, that is not a refusal.

And also in the application details section it will ask "If I have applied for the permanent residence before?". We can provide the EE profile number there in the section below. Do we have to provide just one profile number (the recent one) or provide both profile numbers with a separation?

Both, I imagine.
