Do they recalculate scores throughout the process or just reject?

Hi, I am finalizing my documents to submit my express entry application and I am concerned about 1 of my work experience letters. The company has changed ownership multiple times and I have been provided a reference letter on plain paper - they have just input a header with company name and address.

I think my score will still be ok without this experience, my question is will they just reject the application if the letter does not meet their requirements or do they simply reject that experience and recalculate the score without it?

They'll adjust your score accordingly as long as it's not one of the program eligibility requirements that's in concern, and you should be fine as long as your adjusted score is above the minimum invitation score for your round of invitation.
