Sent application to sydney - January 27, 2009
Received AOR today - March 11, 2009.
The Letter was dated Feb 12, 2009.

I'm almost ready to submit all my documents to my visa office in Manila.

Does anybody have any idea if the visa office processes applications immediately upon receipt of the supporting documents if submitted early or do they fast forward our files 120 days from their AOR date and process it?

I need to know if there is an advantage in sending our documents as soon as possible and not wait for 120 days before sending documents.

thanks guys.

very good question. I'd be interested to know as well. However, somewhere on " British Expatriates" web site, somebody wrote about them waiting up the whole number of days before they open the file again.

bringing our files forward to a later date for assessment would be a more logical and convenient system for them in going through the thousands of applications.

but then if an applicant took the IELTS on april or may 2008 it will not be valid by june 12, 2009 ( 120 days from AOR date ) or the PCC taken January 2009, which is valid only for 3 months/

I'll go with the assumption that they open and assess as soon as they receive the complete application w/ supporting documents, and decided to submit my application to the visa office as soon as possible and not wait till June.

Thanks

I agree with you, the IOs are not going to sit around twiddling their thumbs waiting for 120 days. Once the package arrives, it will be assessed, and remember it is supposed to be a one shot deal. If you package is incomplete, then there will no longer be letters back and forth asking for documents, they will make the decision with what they have. If they have doubts they will interview or refuse..

I have a few documents still on process and will take about 2 to 3 weeks. hopefully my documents will be complete by mid april and i will have 2 weeks to check if everything is ok then i will send my docs before the end of april ( 77 days from AO date ).

Although I still hve plenty of time, I won't wait for the immigration rules to be changed again before I send my application

history of your proof of funds is the record of your deposits and withdrawals from your bank accounts.

the bank statement of account for the past 1 year.
passbooks of the past 1 year
time deposit certificates for the past 1 year.

But I think they will confirm one more time about doubtful experience. In fact, at least two applicants have been required by Beijing embassy to provide more evidences of their salaries after Stage2.
And the op063.pdf guidance file said:
"Neither the NOC nor the Regulations distinguish between “essential” and “non-essential” duties or
provide guidance as to what constitutes a “substantial number”. This is left as a matter for
assessment on a case-by-case basis. If officers have concerns about whether or not the applicant has
carried out “a substantial number of the main duties…including all of the essential duties,” they should
give the applicant an opportunity to respond to these concerns

I submitted myplication on March 8th 2008 through Buffalo office, at that time we were not aware of what is going to happen and was expecting the application is going to be processed quickly.
My career was on the list ad so this was of some relief after about 9 months of nothing done on the application which was almost half the road through Buffalo
I received letter from the immigration dated January 17th 2009 asking for further documents, including IELTS,PCC from the 3 diffrent countries that I lived in and proof of Family relationship in canada( My brother is Canadian Citizen living in Canada ) , I was given 60 days ( till March 17th )rather than 120 of what I read on this forum some people were given in similar situation,,I worked very hard in getting the documents and I already wrote the IELTS ,and all the documents were delivered to Buffalo on March 6th i.e 11 days before the deadline , even should have been delivered 1 week earlier but the documents delivered to my attorney office Thursday and my case manager was not aware that they were delivered and on Friday the day that this attorney office send the files to the immigration, the case manager emailed me reminding me about the needed documents so when he got aware he was not able to send them that day so we waited to the following week as the deadline is faraway
Sorry for the details, but the hard work that I did to get the documents ASAP hope that they will process the application quickly why then they gave me 60 days to submit the documents which I totally understand that might be not enough
My points are
Age 10
Education 20
Experience 21
Language 14
Brother in canada 5

I will inform you guys if I got the request for medical / interview close to March 17th which I hope
