Do they always request photos for PR card with passport request?

I'm probably over-analyzing everything, but trying to determine if they might be ready to give my husand his visa at his interview on Aug 24 in Accra. I have read where people have been told to send in 2 passport photos (for their PR) along with their passport. On the letter he received it said nothing about photos, so we are wondering if this means he is less likely to get his visa that day. I am not sure if those who get their visa at the interview were told ahead of time to bring in photos.

As far as I know you don't get your visa on the day of the interview, but they tell you about the decision some time after it.

In Accra it is quite common to get your visa on the day of your interview. Did you send in 2 photos along with your passport?

My husband's interview is on August 10th Stockholm via London's office and they didn't request for any photos. Praying for a speedy visa since his medical expires Sept 14! Wish us luck :-\

How many pictures in Total did you send in with your application? Maybe the people being asked to bring passport pictures did not send in enough to start with. I would suggest that your husband should take with him extra passport pics just in case.

Thank you, Mon Ami for the good wishes. I hadn't thought that perhaps Ghana requests more photos to begin with...they asked for 8, which I think is quite a few compared to other offices? Off to the regional guides I go to check...ok, I'm back. Seems offices request either 4, 5, 6, 8, or 9 photos. I am hoping that since we are on the higher end, that 2 of those are for the PR.

The next 6 weeks are going to go by agonizingly slow!

nncs - good luck! I hope they speed up your processing so your husband can land by Sept 14, or at the very least extend the medical expiry date for him.

It would be a shame if he had to redo his medical....and I completely agree with you, the next few weeks are going to go by so so slow!!!

Also, I know that the photos they request from the beginning are the ones they use for PR, visa, etc...we had to send in 8 as well.

How do you feel about the interview? how are the preparations? we haven't started yet, my husband seems so calm and I am so anxious!
