Do refugee claimants need to show proof of funds in study permit application?

Hello! I saw on the IMM 5552 that Refugee Claimants do not need to show proof of funds for their studies
in their application. (Written in halfway through this page https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...nditions-extend-your-stay-canada-student.html)

Does anyone have any experience about this? Will showing proof (tuition fee payment, bank statemets, etc.) higher the chances or just delay the application? Any help is appreciated!

That link is for students who are extending their permits. You aren’t extending a study permit.

I am starting my application now and it's the same form. I think they consider me as changing my status.
