DO post grad work permit holder needs LMIA??

Hello all,

I completed my masters here in Canada in EEE and currently working in a Telecom carrier since May 2014. I am on post grad work permit (Open work permit) which is valid till Dec 2016. My question is do I need LMIA to claim 600 pts? thanks in advance.

Yep. Though LMIA is not required to enter the pool, it is required to claim the 600 points. Also note that you won't be able to enter the EE pool until May 2015 (or until you have 12 months of full time work experience after PGWP to be qualified under CEC). Best of luck and from what we've gathered in this forum so far, most people won't have LMIA so don't stress too much over it.
