Do Police certificates need renewal?

Hi,
We have submitted a Sponsorship Application about a year ago.
I wonder if the police certificates we sent out expire in some way?
Should we preemptively get new ones and send to the embassy?

I'm sure if they wanted another they would contact you , that's just my thought .Check both email accounts to make sure they haven't requested another one .

Their web-site only says that it (police check) must be issued no more than 3 months before you APPLY. We didn't send in any new ones pre-emptively, nor were we asked to do so.
