by submitting PCC which is already 1 month old you are not loosing anything. Anyway would not be valid when you would get first AOR.

I think (not sure) VO may consider the PCC if it is forwarded by CIO, after 3 months of validity as it was valid when it was submitted to CIO.

while its true that pcc is not required by cio-ns, it depends on which local visa office will be processing your application. in the case of CHC-London, it should still be included when sending application to cio-cs. cio-ns chklist #12 is the package intended for the local vo. there, pcc ia a requirement except in some case (e.g. pcc from saudi arabia w/c will be asked later)

Hi thanks yes we are of similar opinion. They can't fail us for submitting a police certificate earlier than needed, but they can certainly fail us for not providing one if it IS needed. Since we've already paid for them we may as well send them.

As we're submitting full application this Saturday, our police certificates will be well within 3 months when they are received by CIO, and almost certainly when they are received at VO (unless it takes more than 7 weeks for CIO to send the docs to London).

If London require fresh certificates at a later stage it only took 1 week for us to get ours - we posted them forms on a Monday and the police certificates arived the following Monday - so no biggy other than an extra £70 and a bit of time.
