Do medical and Option C have to be included in application from outset?

Hey all,

Pretty straightforward question I believe. If applicant and spouse are living outside Canada, must they include Medical and Option C with original application or can they forward to CIC Ottawa after stage 1 approval? There is only one qualified DR. in country they are in and would be huge hassle to travel there to get medical. Wife is expecting anyway and medical would be incomplete anyway. They would like to get medical done when they visit here in March but would like to start application now.

Will CIC even process without medical? Or does approval of the sponsor not hinge on spouse's medical anyway?

Thanks folks,
Verm

You can do medicals after sponsorship approval but you absolutely must send option C (or a good explanation why you cannot send one) with the initial application as it needed for sponsorship evaluation, i.e. the 1 stage approval you are talking about.
