Do I really need to have a bank account?

Hi there! I just want to confirm something. Do I really need to have a bank account if I'm going to apply for a work permit? What if I don't have one, would it be a problem? Your response would be highly appreciated.

so far, I didn't provide any financial status when i applied for working permit. It was not part of the requirement.

where have you applied ? i have applied mine here in UAE.

Thanks for the response. ;D I haven't apply for a work permit yet. I'm here in the Philippines. I just wanna know the requirements that I need to submit and things that I must do. This is my first time and I'm quite nervous.
