Do I need to inform CIO that my father died?

I was wondering if I have to inform CIO about my fathers death? Becasue when I applied and filled in forms about family information he was alive.

Sorry to her about your loss.

I see no harm in sending them an email and informing them of your father's demise and if CIC wants any paperwork from you like his death certificate (which I doubt they will) they will contact you.

But as per my experinence they reply emails in 2 months. What if they will send my file back just becasue I did not inform them in time ( cuz they will open my email in 2 months only).
Guess i will call them too.

Why on earth you have to tell everything to CIC ? Do they own your life? Leave these worry and give time to your family member in this hard time. Live your life... It's short. Insane. ???
