Do I need to extend Visitor Record or do I have implied status?

Hey everyone!

We're in Canada, applied for Family Class PR application and OWP in December 2019. Visitor Record applied for early 2020 and accepted in March, expires end of August. Due to COVID delays, we've not heard about OWP status, let alone the PR application itself.

Do I still need to extend my Visitor Record again? Or do I now have implied status because I'm waiting on the OWP and PR?

Also the immigration office couldn't give us any idea of how bad the delays are, but I was supposed to get my OWP in May, so that's almost 3 months delayed. Has anyone viewing this had an update of their PR application status recently, so we can manage our time expectations.
