I am a dominican citizen, I live with my common law partner (who is a Canadian citizen) in the Dominican Republic and we have a daughter who was born in Canada just like her mother. We are trying to apply for my partner to sponsor me but we are not sure how exactly to complete the dependants section of the application form.
The form in question has the following disclaimer: "You must provide the following details about each of your family members, whether they will be accompanying you to Canada or not. You must include your common law partner if applicable, and all of your dependent children, who are not already permanent residents or citizens of Canada".
Should I declare my daughter as a dependant even thought she is a Canadian citizen? Should I also declare my common law parter as a dependant even though she will be the one sponsoring me?
This seems a little ambiguous to me so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
