Dear Friends

I have got my WP through ICT at Toronto. I have lived in three different countries within last 5 years.

While applying for PR, after completing one year in CEC, will I need to produce police clearance from each of these countries?

Thanks

jgd

Just to add my nationality is Indian.

I have lived more than six months in past 5 years in India, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

I am currently in UAE another two weeks so can get the Police clearance certificate for me and my wife.

But if we need it for PR( after one year)..will the certificate be still valid?

Thanks

jgd

Please read through the document checklist and the
instruction guide.
Here's the answer to your question:

You'll need to obtain new police certificates from each of these countries when you apply for PR. No - you can't use the old ones.

I have a question here, I will need a police certificate from a country that requires a letter from the CIC office in Canada or overseas visa office requesting a police certificate. Any idea how to get that letter?

Thanks.

I would attach a letter to your application explaining that. Mail the application without that PCC and wait
for the request from CIC. A September applicant did the same, sent the application without the PCC from Singapore and
waited for the request from CIC.
CIC will send you the COC request
