Do I need PCC ?

Hello there,

I came to Canada in December 2013 (exactly 5 Months and 12 days after my 18th Birthday) on student visa.

I got my IELTS TRF yesterday and created my express entry profile. My CRS is 425.

I am trying to collect all the documents needed to submit after ITA.

Do i need Indian PCC?

If yes, does anyone know how long Indian embassy in Toronto takes to issue one ?

I read somewhere on the forum that you only need PCC if you have stayed in that country for more than 6 months after the 18th Birthday.

That's why i am confused still if i need one or not.

I think i should get one just in case.

you are right - guidelines state you only need a PCC for a country that you lived in for 6 months or more (cumulative) after turning 18. See here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

for safer side I would say get Indian PCC because one of friends wife was asked to provided another countries pcc although she only stayed on that country for 5 months.
But If your are unable to get one on time write an LOE stating your situation.
