Do I need GIC/Student Loan if I have funds in my Canadian bank account?

Hi,

I am in Toronto on a work permit and I have applied for Project Management in IT program for 1 year. I have a Canadian bank account for last 8 months and I get my salary credited in that. My query is if I pay the fees and show 10K $ in my bank account, would that be sufficient or will I have to make a GIC or get a students loan from my home country(India)? I mean is it mandatory?

Or just showing enough funds in my account can make my case weaker if I don't show any GIC/Loan ?

Sorry buddy, not that much aware about the rules..

but I have also taken the same course from Seneca and coming in this sept (If GIC works fine)

Pls share the career options for the same course and job chances after completing this course..

Well depending on how you fair in the program, there are good job prospects for Project Manager/Coordinator positions. I am wondering if I need to get a GIC done, as I am already in Toronto and have been working here for last few months.
