hi
I have claimed points for masters degree and have mentioned the eca number and also I have mentioned bachelor's degree and have not mentioned any no. in eca details as I dint claim any points for bachelor's under education history ... is that fine??

Hi,

No. You don't need ECA for all educational certificates. Only, the highest one, which is Masters from USA. You get points, based on highest qualification.

Make sure, you do not mention any other degree/diploma in your Education tab. Many have done it, including me, and received PPR, without any question.

Thanks.
Hello Dinesh,

I am in the same boat. I have evaluated my highest degree(MCA) but not for BCA. And I created EE profile. Luckily I got nomination and ITA.
Now I am confused whether I should mention BCA under Education section while filing post -ITA application or not as I dnt have ECA for my BCA( Bachelores)

Hello,

Did you reply to your query related to ECA?

Need help. I have MBBS degree. I also have BSc. Degree which i got just giving English exam after completing my 3years of MBBs. That is usual in Pakistan that doctors can give English exam only after 3 years and get Bsc degree. My Question is do i need to mention Bsc in my EE? Will it improve my CRS or no benefit?

Hi. I have a MSc from Canada during which I worked as research assistant. I also have a BSc from my home country. Do I need to get ECA for my BSc if I want to apply for the express entry skilled worker program?

Here
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

It says that if you have foreign degree, you need a ECA for it. Also here
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=990&top=29

it says one needs ECA for the express entry skilled worker program,

I appreciate the help

It's about where your Highest Certificate is from! I think if you have Canadian Degree (In this case MSc) then you may not need any evaluation because the points are awarded based on the highest degree (which needs to be evaluated if it is from outside of Canada).

Kindly guide

I am co-applicant- got BBA Hons and MBA -Required both ECA
The main applicant is a doctor- Required M.B.BS ECA OR for both M.B.BS & Mphil.

--S.S.C & H.S is mandatory for both applicant or not

Actually... only Highest Degree is considered (if evaluated) for the points.

I am ACCA from Pakistan, I have done bachelors of commerce (2 year programme), and MA Economics (2 year program). I am considering the WES as my assessment body for ECA. Should I also submit my documents for secondary (marticulation) and higher secondary (intermediate) education for assessment??

Friends,

I have MS (masters) (1 and half years duration ) from France in Supply Chain and purchasing. To get 135 score, do I need to get ECA evaluation for my MS only or do I need to do my BTech (India) evaluation as well? or I can jgo ahead with masters only

My biggest concern is to get Btech evaluation as I am living outside India... and BTech evaluation will cause big issues.

Will appreciate your advise here.

Absolutely not. I did not mention my Bachelors degree in my education history but it is clearly mentioned in my personal history. There's nothing for them to "discover". I didn't even upload my bachelor's degree.

Your degree is irrelevant to your application unless you're claiming points based on it.

"My cancellation letter specifically said something like "ECA missing for bachelors degree". And yes, I did provide information about my bachelors masters and phd while applying."

I don't know the specifics of your case. Did you have an ECA for your PhD or Masters? Did you mention your bachelors degree in your education history or did you just mention it in the personal history section?

I am in a similar situation. Currently in Post-ITA phase, about to submit the application..
  • I have only had my Master's evaluated by WES (Master's from US & Bachelors from India)
  • I have mentioned Masters in Educational history section and Bachelors in Personal history section.
Since your case is mostly similar to mine, I have a few questions
  1. Do I have to upload bachelors degree while submitting documents or will it cause issues ?
  2. If I have to submit a LOE, what should it ideally state ?
  3. Do I have to submit an LOE separately for each section or is one letter containing all details enough ?
Thanks for your time.

1. No. I didn't submit my Indian bachelors degree. Masters degree would suffice.
2. Anything you'd like the visa officer to know about. I can't give you specifics unless I know more about your case. The LOE is not mandatory, though.
3. One should be enough.
