1. If you are from a non exempt country, you need a new TRV to enter Canada.Hey Guys,
I just got the approval of SP extension. Do I need to apply for visa stamping separately? Can I re-enter to Canada with my extended SP even if the initial visa stamp expiry date has arrived?
Thanks,
I am in the same boat. I applied for it from inside canada early April but has not receive anything yet.Hey Guys,

No you are not in the same boat. You are present here in Canada so until a decision is made on your application you are on implied status whereas the OP is outside Canada and thus where on one hand he needs a TRV to enter you do not. As long as.your permit is valid you are allowed to stay in Canada without a valid TRV.I am in the same boat. I applied for it from inside canada early April but has not receive anything yet.
You cant board a plane to Canadat without a valid TRV. If you extend sp outside canada you should get trv automatically, if you extend in Canada its a different application that needs to be made.Hey Guys,

1. Not exactly, if you apply overseas for your initial SA, you get the TRV if required. The OP applied for an extension, and is overseas. You cant board a plane to Canadat without a valid TRV. I was wondering if someone could answer my questions. Thanks.Thank you guys for your answers. I just received my ned SP by mail. So, as I'm in Canada right now, I need to apply for TRV separately? How much does the TRV cost?
Also, as far as I know, and as my previous SP shows the SP is usually issued for more three months after the date you're supposed to be graduated. My new SP expires on the day I will be finishing my study though. The didn't include the 3 months space to the new SP. What should I do now? Is it normal? Or should I write to them?
Thanks
Yes TRV is separate, just google it plenty of schools have great instructions on how to do it and everything.Thank you guys for your answers. I just received my ned SP by mail. So, as I'm in Canada right now, I need to apply for TRV separately? How much does the TRV cost?

1. It is quite likely that the OP applied for extension using a Canadian address. SA extensions are processed in Edmonton, TRVs are processed in Ottawa, 2 different offices, if you are in Canada you have to apply for an extension and then apply separately for a TRV.If you apply for extension outside Canada you get TRV automatically as well.
This is exactly what I said above.Hi
