sorry what do you mean about certified/notarized translation? As far as I know the certified translator will stamp that . We do not need to take it to a lawyer right?
yes, a certified translator is good. NO need for a lawyer.

The Translator stamped the original pcc and the translation.
Is that OK that he stamped the original pcc?

Hi all,
In my country, they translated directly from the original PCC. Meaning that the package only has: (1) translation with stamp (2) original PCC with stamp (3) affidavit of translator.
Do I have to provide certified copy of the original as well? Please help advise. Thank you

got a Q on similar lines to this one...

I'm currently in USA and lived in germany over 2 visits of about 5 months each in past 10 years. so per CIC requirement I need clearance from Germany too right for PR application thru FSW express entry?

any experience if I apply by post to Germany how long it takes to get the certificate and what all docs to send with notarized application to Bundesamt Justiz in Bonn?

also, after receiving the certificate in German, where can I get certified translation here in USA?

any idea, experience please share! thanks much!

Hello everyone!

I have a question: when looking for a translation agency to translate my PCC from Russian into English, they all ask about the purpose of translation. Why does it matter and the difference (except price)? There should be only one format of translation, regardless of where I'm submitting it after. It just seems they know that people going through immigration are ready to pay higher price..

Anyone knows?

Thanks.

usually it shouldn't matter. translations AFAIK are per page/document. it shouldn't have an effect as to the purpose, they won't "do" anything particular. translation has to regarding the content of the document. this is weird by the way.
