Hi everybody,

I got my ITA this Wednesday, and so now I'm gathering documents.
On the list I have "Police certificates (multiple)". In the description it says

> You must provide a police certificate for every country other than Canada in which you have spent 6 month or more...

So, I would think that since I only lived that long in Russia (where I'm from), and Canada (where I'm now), I might just need the Russian certificate.

But, the thing is that I moved to Canada before I turned 18, and down there it say "since the age of 18":

> Who needs a police certificate?
> In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate.
> You may need a police certificate from any country or territory that you have spent six months or more since the age of 18.

Does that mean I should not provide a police certificate?

I moved to Canada before I turned 18 too. Since then I only left Canada twice and did not spend more than 6 months in any country.

I simply uploaded a Letter of Explanation in the place holder where the Police Certificates are requested. I explained, with dates, when I came and left Canada and how I did not spend more than 6 months anywhere other than Canada.

Around 1.5 months into my application they asked me to upload an RCMP Criminal Record Check, which I did a week later. My application is approved and I am doing my landing soon.

You could be proactive and submit and RCMP Criminal Record Check, but honestly you don't need to. If they need it they will ask for it.

Good luck!
