Do I need a new police certificate If I left a country 6 months ago? Like I have left UK 4 months ago and living in Pakistan now, I have applied Police Certificate Today from UK. I won't be going back to UK so do I need to submit a new UK police certificate after 6 months as the expiry date of police certificate is 6 months only. Or do I need only need to submit a newer police certificate from Pakistan if my PR application takes more then 6 months?

Only the country youre resident in needs to have a police cert within 6 months. Other police certs need to be issued after you last lived there.

For example, you live in pakistan now, so your pakistan pcc needs to be recent.
Your uk one needs to be after you left.

it does not have to be consecutive: lived 2months then left and came back few years later . lived for another 4 months
Then you lived for 6 months. you need a police certificate.

Who needs a police certificate?
In general, you and all the people in your family who are 18 or older need to get a police certificate. You must get one from each country or territory where you have spent six or more months since the age of 18. For example:

if you visited, worked or lived in a country for two months, left for a few years, then returned for four months, that counts as spending six months there. In this case, you would need a certificate.
For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply.

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

If your certificate is in a language other than English or French, send it when you apply, along with the original copy of a translation done by a certified translator.

you need a police certificate from pakistan too as you currently live there.

yes but the question is if i left the UK 1 year ago and got the certificate at that time after leaving the UK do I need a new certificate again from UK because the validity is only 6 months? Or do i need a recent certificate from the current country im resident of and can use the 1 year old UK certificate as i didn't go back to UK after that.

not an answer to my question sir

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

As long as you have not returned to the UK since then, the certificate is still valid.

you need to get police certificate from all of the countries you have lived for more than 6 months even if your not living there anymore plus police clearance from your home country. that's the requirements for PR application.

Like what you've said, you've been to uk before, if you stay there for 6 months or more, you have to provide PCC.

To actually answer your question, if yoh havent been back to the uk aince your last pcc then it is valid. Only current country of residence needs to be within 6 months.

yes correct. as long as your PCC is received or the issue date is after your departure date from UK.

Can someone help clearify my doubts please
