I'm just completing the application for CEC for myself, and I keep reading the documentations required for spouse/common law. My wife already has a Canadian citizen, do I still need these documentations for her? Are these documentations for people who are thinking to bring their wives over with them?

1. A dumb question? Why are you bothering with CEC when your Canadian spouse can sponsor you?
2. A copy of her citizenship certificate is fine.

When your wife is Canadian Citizen, why do you go for CEC

For simplicity.
Sponsorship takes longer than CEC. CEC has a clear requirements, where sponsorship requires great deal of prrofs.
