Do I have to inform CIC if I quit my current job?

I received CEC invitation on Feb. And I already applied for PR and just quit my job. Do I have to inform CIC ? My lawyer said no but I am still a little worried.

Hello mate,

Me too got my invitation in Dec and AOR in Feb 2017. I'm on closed WP and planning to quit my job too as my company is planning to relocate me. my PR is under progress.
I got to know that I can legally stay in Canada even though I quit my job. So can you share some details if it's fine to stay in Canada w/o job legally provided having a valid visa?
