Do I have to arrange a direct flight to edmonton for landing

Dear All

I plan to land in Edmonton , but there are little direct flights to it . so i would be grateful if you could help me with these questions .


1- if i buy a ticket to toronto then connect from there, could i complete the procedures at Edmonton without doing it at Toronto .


2-if i have to complete the landing formalities in toronto , Does this mean i have to give a toronto address for PR or i could give edmonton address ?

3-If I have to complete the landing formalities in toronto airport how much transfer time would be enough to continue from pearson airport to edmonton ?

1. Immigration and other formalities would be done your first POE. So if you land at Toronto first then all the procedures would be completed there.
2. You can give any address not necessarily have to be a Toronto's address.
3. Average you should keep window of 2-3 hrs completing all landing formalities, however it depends on how busy airport is on that particular day.

also another question pleassse

when i land in toronto , instead of hopping right on to a connecting flight to edmonton , could i stay in toronto for 10 days and explore it before moving to edmonton ?

would this affect applying later to health card and SIN at edmonton ?

SIN number you can get from Toronto airport and health card from Edmonton. Yes you can stay in Toronto for some days before moving to Edmonton.

does SIn has to have an address on it ? should i tell them toronto or edmonton address

You can get SIN anywhere. Provide your PR card address to SIN also.

They just need an address for reference when they are filling out your information on the database
