Hi guys.

I'm a bit lost about my Canadian work experience.

So, I worked part-time, 24 hours per week from October 30, 2017 to February 8, 2018.

From February 8, 2018 - currently I have been working full-time, 40 hours per week.

Does this mean that I've already accumulated 1 year of full-time work experience? let's say, on December 8th, 2018 I will have 10 months of full-time work experience + my part-time work experience from October 30, 2017 to February 8, 2018 (24 hours per week).

Or do I have to continue working until February 8th, 2019 to have 1 year of full-time work experience? Not sure how to declare this in my EE profile when they ask I you have 1 year of work exprience...

Thanks!

Hi guys.

I'm a bit lost about my Canadian work experience.

So, I worked part-time, 24 hours per week from October 30, 2017 to February 8, 2018.
You have to pro-rate part-time experience. First you have to count the weeks. I'm guessing 13 weeks. So it would be 13 weeks * 24 hours per week = 312 hours; 312 / 30 hours per week = 10.4 full time equivalent (FTE) weeks. Round down to 10. One year = 52 weeks.

From February 8, 2018 - currently I have been working full-time, 40 hours per week.
Again, count the weeks (this time, they are all just "full-time weeks.") I'm guessing 41 weeks. 41 + 10 = 51 weeks. If that is the right number o f weeks, you need one more full-time week before you meet the 1 year requirement.
