As per my understanding from cic website ECA and IELTS results are required for principal applicant in new EE system. My question is, if he also wants to get points for education and English language abilities of his spouse, do he need his spouse's ECA report and her IELTS result as well?
If yes when CIC require these results?

Please help

If you want points for your spouse's education, YES you should do ECA for her too. Please have a read on the FAQs for Express Entry for more info http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/faqs-for-express-entry-t263801.0.html

If you will apply with spouse , you will need IELTS for your spouse. Having IELTS for spouse will increase your overall score , but it is not mandatory.

Hi Guys,
I have a basic question regarding EE. Im married however I do not want to apply with spouse.

So when I created the EE profile I listed as single applicant and of course for all question related to status I mentioned im married .

My understanding is that I can create EE profile without spouse as applicant even though Im married.

Can someone please confirm is this correct understanding ?

Who needs an ECA?

If you have a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate, you do not need to get an ECA.

You will need to get an ECA for your foreign degree, diploma or certificate if:
a.you want to be considered for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) under Express Entry
•you are a principal applicant, and
•you got your education outside Canada, or

b.you are an Express Entry candidate (or their spouse or common-law partner coming with them to Canada) being considered for the Federal Skilled Trades Program or the Canadian Experience Class, and you want points for your foreign education.

[GUYS FROM THE ABOVE STATEMENT mentioned on the CIC website. It is very clear that for FSWP you do not need to get your spouse ECA.
I am not for FSWT or CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS. I am for FSWP so I should NOT be worried about it. No use of getting it done for spouse because it is not mentioned that you get some additional points unless you are FSWT or Canadian Experience Class applicants.]

You are wrong.

Look at Ministerial Instructions for EE subsection 3 under Point 17 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/mi/express-entry.asp

Educational credentials

(3) In order for a foreign national to be assigned points under subsection (1) for the educational credentials of their accompanying spouse or common-law partner,

(a) the educational credentials of that spouse or common-law partner must be Canadian educational credentials; or
(b) that spouse or common-law partner must have a valid education credential equivalency assessment in respect of their foreign educational credentials issued by an institution designated under subsection 75(4) of the Regulations.

I think you are right.
what to do in this case? I don't want to claim my Spouse Education points.
I don't want 8 or 9 points and pay for ECA fee and go through all the SEALED ATTESTED docs to be sent directly to WES.
That's very complicated stuff.

So what do you suggest?? I have mentioned my spouse SECONDARY EDUCATION even though she has graduation.

Regards,
Mark Adams.

If you don't have the ECA done, the system won't allot you those 8 points. That's all. You can mention her graduation, wouldn't make a difference to your CRS score or CIC.

I want to apply for ECA for canada immigration along with my spouse. For getting more marks I want ECA of my spouse to get done by WES.

The problem is that my spouse education documents are in her prior marriage surname and after marriage her surname is changed which is updated in passport, pan card ,aadhar card and bank accounts.

Will There be any problem if I put her after marriage surname in profile creation data whereas documents will be in her prior marriage surname.

Please guide.

Thanks
