Do embassy call the applications for info?

Do embassy call the applications for info? i mean, do they even have time to call the applicants for a simple question or enquiry?

sometimes yes....
a frnd of mine from chennai got call 2 days after he submitted d fyl....
dey asked abt college n personal details...
a day earlier he got a mail from his consultant about d same.....

Embassies have different cultures.Some will or just send an email depending on the nature of what they need clarified and what visa category,but in most cases they send emails.
