Happened to me before when I was trying to land as PR back in 2014. I flagpoled at the US border and when I entered the Canadian side to land, the officer could not find my name in the system. I didn't land that day but they let me back in to Canada on my work permit. A week later, CIC officer called me on my cellphone number and told me that I have to do my landing at the nearest CIC office. I landed two weeks after that call.

I'm not worried, I am interested in the kinds of reasons why a call would be received and whether it has happened. Seems you haven't answered the question, but you can keep it.
