Do CIC is compulsory? I had paid 1 year fee and havi loan of 17 lacks.

Hi Friends,

I'm concerned about CIC.Do i have to deposit CAD10,000 though i paid 1 year of college fee.

Moreover, I could show 17 lacks of bank loan and 10 lacks of deposits(without including fee which i had paid).

I had opted Sheridan college for computer sytem technician-software engg..

Here are my profile and available documents

1.10th-66%
2.12th-50%
3.B.tech-64% with one backlog which is been cleared immediately.
4.IELTS-6.0 bands with no less than 5.5. in each module.
5.Bank loan -17 lacks
6.Paid 1 year college fee already.
7.Having fixed deposit of 9 lacks and 1 lack in normal account(total 10 lacks).

Do i really need to deposit CAD 10.000 though i paid my 1 year fee..

Please get me out from this concern and predict weather i could get visa with this profile..

Bro it is GIC - Guaranteed Investment Certificate
That is the best option...
But there are people who applied with loan and secured visa
Even i applied with loan...and waiting for result...

Yes Bro, but the preferred option is to deposit 10.000 cad in scotia. However, we both had opted alternate option which is released by canadian govt itself.So, would that make any changes on our chances of getting visa,as we choose alternate option..

Since the checklist itself offers you the option of either GIC or loan, i don't think you'll have any problems. I just think that students with a GIC will get processed faster then students with loan. Did you pay the fees?

Yes Rohit, I had paid 1 year fee on 14th Nov 2012.

But sad thing here is that i did not received bank loan sanctioned letter they said they will issue letter till Thursday i.e..(29th Nov)..

I 'm planning to drop my application on 1 st of December..Moreover, Canadian Commission extended the last date to dec 07th it seems..So,would that make any change on my visa if i apply in Dec?

And other thing, should i submit my funds statements with my application though i have 17 lacks of loan and paid 1 year college fee? or to just mention in application about available funds?

If possible apply on 29th itself! Make sure all other documents are ready by that time. And can i know your source for this deadline extension information?

and about funds statement, i really don't know mate! I was told to submit it only if i had considerably large amounts in it, or else a mention about it in the covering letter would work!

yeah okay Rohit.I would meet bank manager tomorrow and ill tell him to issue me a day before..

Coming to deadline information,my consultant got a mail from one of the SPP college regarding extended dead line.They told that, cic would not update these kind of information in their site..Reason is,if they update deadline date to 7 Th in their site,probably they will receive last minute applications..They may feel burden if they receive all applications at a time on DEC 1st...
