Do certain certifications help in good job placements in Canada?

Hi,

I currently live and work in Nigeria and planning on moving to Canada. I intend writing on exam to become a Certified HR professional its called SHRM-CP.

Does this give me an edge in securing a good job in Canada? is there another certification I could do instead of this?

In Canada the CHRP is the HR certification that is most widely recognized and sought after.

In Canada only Canadian certifications are valued

There are some exceptions like PMP and some from USA that are similar or equivalent to Canada certifications
