I just asked abt it because last yr they found a scar on my lungs but i i've never had any tb or pneumononia history. I will be having my medical nxt wk for our PR that's why i am worried.

Abt your question, according to what i have read, you will be under surveillance so you better keep on taking vitamins.but you dont have to worry as long as you will keep being healthy and negative from TB there's no reason they will bring you back.

Hi, I am facing the same issue and they have asked me for further test of sputum and an xray after 3 months.

Now my concern is that my deadline is before those 3 months so what should I do? Proceed with submission of application or not?

Thanks,

Hi. Deadline applies the time you need to start the medical. once you already started with your medical the date will be void.

Sorry I didnt get it. My medical is started on 23rd Jan 2018 however my ITA submission deadline for 90 days is completed on 11th April. So can you please explain how the date will be void?
Repeat chest xray is on 22nd April 2018.

Thanks

Oops sorry. I thought it was the deadline for medical submission. Im not really sure abt the deadline for ITA. try calling them or shoot an email to make sure. I was for provincial nomination and i dont know how exactly the express entry works.

i had TB as a child, and i always get an old scar showing on my xrays. During my spousal application medicals, i was asked to provide further test information saying it was treated, and to prove its inactive(latent tb). CIC requested an afb smear and culture test(basically a test of your sputum for any sign of active TB) smear is instant, and culture takes 6-8 weeks to produce result. Both came out negative. CIC also requested a second xray after 3 months of my initial one. I took that and it showed my scar has not changed(good thing as it shows your TB is inactive) I got issued a TB clearance from my state Health department which was included in my doctors report a long with my sputum results, and CIC cleared me :). My COPR has medical surveillance which is basically a medical assessment by Canadian doctor to completely rule out TB thats active. The border official will give you instructions on how to complete the surveillance. (please ensure you complete it as it will affect your citizenship application). The entire procedure is covered by the provincial insurance. They give you 6 months to do it, so you will have gotten your provincial insurance depending on which province you are landing.

So NO latent TB will not hinder your application, Just make sure to complete the tests they ask for(i was given 90 days to complete further medical tests)..good luck and all the best

my wife found out on her medical that it has an inactive latent tb is there any possibilities the ircc will approved our visa?

Normally you need to complete the medical treatment first before the visa can be approved.

same case with you, my wife found om IGRA test positive for TB and scheduled for sputum test on dec. 20,2023 is there also a posibilities that ircc
will approved our visa?
