Curious. Do Canada immigration give warnings before deporting international students? Or do they just refuse your applications and ask you to leave the country?

1. Depends on the reason. If you are in contravention of the Act/Regulations, they will remove you most likely, there is no "warnings" of not to do it again.
2. Otherwise if you apply for an extension, don't meet the criteria, you are told to leave. Usually given 30 days to confirm your departure.

What do you mean by "don't meet the criteria" when you apply for an extension?
Like for instance: if I'm miss the requirement of full time student and I apply for an extention of study permit, then I will get deported?

You won't be deported immediately. You'll be told to leave within 30 days. If you don't leave by the deadline - then a deportation order will be issued.
