Hi,

I am wondering if all photocopies we submit with our application need to be certified?

I am wondering about these documents in particular:

1. Do I need to get the photocopies of our passport picture page certified?

2. As a proof for our travels to visit each other we are going to attach photocopies of our passport pages with the visa stamps showing her visits to Germany and my visits to Canada. Do we also need to get those photocopies certified?

3. As proof of our marriage we are attaching a photocopy of our marriage license (license issues from British Columbia since we got married in her home town). Do I need to get the copy certified even though it is a Canadian document?

Thank you so much in advance.

PS: I feel like the closer you get to sending your application the more you are questioning yourself if you did everything correct. :)

We didn't certify any copy of the passport or of the marriage license. We would have translated them at an authorized translator if they wouldn't have been in english.

Do I only need certified copies of the original document if the original is in another language and has been translated? I'm confused by the guide. I can't tell if certified copies are only needed for translated documents or if all documents which are handed in as a copy need to be certified.
